DERBYSHIRE YOUTH DARTS
Youth Darts Team was formed in 1995 to coincided with the formation
We are always on the look out for new players both male and female to replace players who reach the "retirement" age of 21. There is no lower age limit the only requirement is that a player must not be a danger to markers or other players when throwing darts. We have players in the squad at the present time ranging from 7 to 20 years old some players have only been playing a short time some a few years but they all have one thing in common they want to play darts.
You don't have to be a top player to join the squad but hopefully in time you will become a world beater. We have also found playing darts can help improve your maths.
The team is picked from the squad on the day. Players who wish to play and are not in the 15 are given a game against the opposition's reserves. You do not have to play, you can just come and have a look if you wish.
The season runs from September to May with around one match a month. Matches are played on Sunday afternoons. Derbyshire's home venue is The Venue 47-49 Abbey Street, Derby DE22 3SJ. There are other youth events throughout the year, details for these are sent out as and when we receive the information.
The Derbyshire squad has at the moment has a great family atmosphere therefore new players coming in are soon made to feel at home.
Entrance to matches is £1, matches start around 12.30pm, players are asked to arrive by 11.45am. There is a dress code in which players are asked to wear trousers (skirt) of a dark material no jeans or tracksuits. Shirts are provided.
If you require any more information or you wish to join the squad please do not hesitate to get in touch so we can make arrangements.
